Precision from board to finish.

GIB Fixing and Stopping

We fix the board true, stop the joints and screw heads flush, and sand to a Level 4 finish, so when the paint goes on it goes on perfectly. Because we also plaster and paint, the handover between board and finish simply does not exist.

Questions

Good to know

What is a Level 4 GIB finish?

Level 4 is the standard finish for most interiors painted with flat or low-sheen paint. All joints, fasteners and corners are stopped and sanded smooth.

Do you fix and stop, or only stop?

Both. We fix GIB to framing and carry out all the stopping and finishing that follows.
